Clinical Nurse Specialist – Bladder and Bowel Care

Due to an exciting period of growth and development 1-1 Healthcare are recruiting on behalf of our client to source an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join their clinical team to cover the Wiltshire/Avon.


As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will responsible for managing a caseload of individuals with complex urological /continence needs. You will also facilitate educational programmes as required to promote the organisation’s home delivery service for individuals requiring specialist products for the management of their bladder/bowel symptoms.


Key duties and responsibilities;



  • To ensure the individual is offered a holistic assessment and individuals needs are managed appropriately

  • To manage a caseload of patients requiring support and management of their continence needs

  • To work autonomously with individuals in a variety of settings ensuring the delivery of high standards

  • To undertake clinical procedures, investigations or interventions competently while maintaining patient dignity

  • To participate in delivering training for the development of others

  • To maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records

  • To participate in clinical audits and present back findings

  • To actively seek potential business opportunities on behalf of the organisation


Essential skills;



  • Registered Nurse with a current, active PIN

  • Post registration experience within a urology/continence environment

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Be flexible and adaptable

  • Be a strong team player but able to be self-motivated when required

  • Able to work autonomously


Desirable skills;



  • Demonstrable experience within a community setting

  • Previous commercial experience

  • Have knowledge of home delivery service

  • V100/V150 Community prescribing
